– Rep. Martin Causer (R-Turtlepoint) is hosting a final Property Tax/Rent Rebate Clinic this week to assist Bradford -area residents with applying for the program.
The clinic will be held on Tuesday, March 6, at the Bradford Senior Center, 60 Campus Dr., Bradford
, from 9:30-11 a.m.
“We have been able to help dozens of area senior citizens file for their property tax or rent rebates in the last couple weeks at clinics we’ve held across the district,” Causer said. “I encourage folks in Bradford who haven’t already applied to stop by for help at no cost.”
Residents are reminded to bring all necessary income, property tax or rental information required to process claims quickly and accurately.
The Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians who are 65 years or older, widows and widowers 50 years or older, and those 18 years or older with disabilities. Eligibility income limits are set at $15,000 for renters and $35,000 for homeowners, excluding 50 percent of Social Security, Supplemental Security Income and Railroad Retirement Tier 1 benefits.
Causer reminds those who are eligible that there is no need to pay for assistance in filing for the rebates. Help is always available at his offices in in Bradford
