: The House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, chaired by Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter), will hold both a voting meeting and informational meeting to discuss issues related to the state’s dairy industry.
The committee will first consider the following House resolutions:
• House Resolution 222
(Rep. John Lawrence, R-Chester/Lancaster): Would urge the U.S. Department of Agriculture to enforce the standard of identity for milk.
• House Resolution 402
(Rep. Jim Struzzi, R-Indiana): Would recognize the value of whole milk and support federal legislation to offer whole milk in schools.
Upon adjournment of the voting meeting, the committee will hold an informational meeting to discuss the Whole Milk for Health Kids Act of 2019, sponsored by Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson.
