Rep. House Ag Committee Discusses Fireworks Law

The House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, chaired by Rep. Martin Causer, held a public hearing at the state Capitol to gather feedback on a proposal to update the state's fireworks laws. Officials from the Department of Agriculture, local government associations, public safety organizations and fireworks operations offered testimony regarding House Bill 1687.

Ag Committees Meet at Ag Progress Days

On June 18th, 2019, the Pennsylvania Dairyman's Association held a press rally to unite on the issues of dairy products and milk. The group is rallying for whole milk to be distributed in school districts throughout PA. and other changes as well.

Ag Committee Hears Forest Products Industry Update

The House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee, chaired by Rep. Martin Causer, traveled to Elk County May 16 to receive an update on issues and challenges facing the forest products industry. Participants in the roundtable to discussion included state officials with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Department of Agriculture and Pennsylvania Game Commission, as well as local forestry officials.
