Eldred Senior Center Earns Grant, Causer Says
BRADFORD – The Eldred Senior Center has been awarded a grant of $73,922 for improvements to its facility, Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter) announced today.
The funds, awarded through the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, will be used to install a new heat pump system, LED lighting in the lobby and all rooms, and a Hobart dishwasher.
“The Eldred Senior Center, and others like it across the region, provide valuable support services, such as nutritious meals and educational programs, as well as social opportunities for our older residents,” Causer said. “This grant is a worthwhile investment that will allow the Eldred Senior Center to continue its good work of serving and supporting area seniors.”
Eldred was one of just 45 senior centers statewide to receive funding through the competitive grant program. The grants are funded using proceeds from the Pennsylvania Lottery.
