Causer, Dush Announce $8.52 Million Grant for Bradford City Water Authority

July 23, 2021

HARRISBURG – Rep. Martin Causer (R-Turtlepoint) and Sen. Cris Dush (R-25) today announced an $8.52 million grant has been awarded to the Bradford City Water Authority for infrastructure improvements.

“Investing in our community’s infrastructure is so important to supporting quality of life for those who live and work here,” Causer said. “I applaud the water authority for pursuing this vital improvement project.”

“When you talk about working to grow our economy, a solid, reliable infrastructure must be the foundation of that effort,” Dush said. “This is a great investment in the Bradford community.”

The funding will be used to replace 16,800 linear feet of water lines and 573 lead service line connections in the city. In addition to supporting improved water quality, the new lines will also help reduce the threat of leaks due to aging infrastructure.

Funding was awarded by the Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority, also known as PENNVEST, through its drinking water funding program.
