HARRISBURG – Recognizing the contributions of veterans who hail from the community of Westline, a new state law designates the Westline Veterans Memorial Bridge, said Rep. Martin Causer (R-Cameron/McKean/Potter), who sponsored the legislation.

The bridge is located on Route 3006 over the Kinzua Creek in Westline, which is located in Lafayette Township, McKean County.

“We are blessed every day by the men and women who have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard,” Causer said. “Designating this bridge in their honor is a constant reminder of their service and sacrifice.

Causer sponsored the proposal to name the bridge with the support of American Legion Post 574 and VFW Post 6347, both of Mt. Jewett, and the Lafayette Township supervisors and McKean County commissioners.

The bridge is named under Act 23 of 2022, which was signed into law June 10.
